Submissions ended 10/2/20, and Reflections entries are currently being reviewed by our judges.


Because the pandemic makes it more difficult to deliver and handle materials, the National PTA Reflections Art Program accepted electronic submissions this year. 

The deadline has passed, but if you're curious about the process for 2021, the technical specs are outlined in the next column.

See individual guidelines for art categories when planning your work, but for uploading, keep the following in mind:

Dance, Film  - video must not exceed 5 minutes in length and 1,000 MB (1 GB) in size.  Accepted file formats include: AVI and MP4.

Literature  - Hand written or typed entries are accepted at 8.5x11. Accepted format is PDF.

Photography/Visual Art -  Image must be 300 dpi, no smaller than 3x5 inches (900x1500 pixels), and no larger than 8X10 inches (2,400x3,000 pixels). Accepted formats: JPEG, JPG, and PNG.

Also for Visual Art - Original works must not exceed 24x30 inches. 3D sculptures must include 3 photos of the entry from different angles.

Music - (Requires AUDIO and SCORE) Audio recording must not exceed 5 minutes in length and 1,000 MB (1 GB) in file size. Accepted audio file formats include: MP3 and WAV.Handwritten or computer-generated music score/tablature/notation required. Accepted format is PDF.

If you are unable to get a good digital image of your visual art, Rosemont students should drop off their original work at the front office at 4725 Rosemont AvenueLa Crescenta, CA 91214 during work hours by the 9/28 deadline. Any works-on-paper or 3D pieces will be photographed by the Reflections chair to produce a well-lit, high resolution image of your work for display, judging, or forwarding to other levels of PTA, after which your original will be returned to you.
